Section 8 Chicago is honored to once again designate Brave Space Alliance as the benefitting nonprofit organization for our annual Prideraiser campaign (s8c.prideraiser.org).
Prideraiser is a coalition of independent soccer supporters in various leagues throughout North America that raise money for local LGBTQ+ charities every June to celebrate Pride month. Chicago Fire FC supporters are encouraged to make a pledge for every goal scored by the Fire during matches between May 28th vs Toronto FC and the team’s official Pride match on June 29th at Soldier Field vs Philadelphia Union.
- May 28th at Toronto FC
- June 18th vs DC United at Soldier Field
- June 25th at Houston Dynamo
- June 29th vs Philadelphia Union at Soldier Field (Pride Night!)
Brave Space Alliance is the first Black- and trans-led LGBTQ+ Center located on the South Side of Chicago, dedicated to creating and providing affirming, culturally competent, for-us by-us resources, programming, and services for LGBTQ+ individuals on the South and West sides of the city. We strive to empower, embolden, and educate each other through mutual aid, knowledge-sharing, and the creation of community-sourced resources as we build toward the liberation of all oppressed peoples.
Brave Space Alliance is a 501c3 tax-exempt not-for-profit organization, so donations made to BSA may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
As with every year in June, S8C celebrates the tradition for liberation, honor the resistance of those who came before us, and support the passion of community. Happy Pride!
